Boxwood Gulch Fishing Report for Tue, 07 Jun 2005

Noah and guide, Barney Cohen, from the Blue Quill, are holding the elusive Palomino Rainbow of Boxwood Gulch. They landed it in the Deer Camp area after a fierce battle.

The early days of June have produced many, many, huge fish. Huge for this river is 7-8 lbs. I have seen more 4-5 lb fish landed than ever before.
Save your time and gas $$ and visit Boxwood.

The water has been very clear to slightly off colored. We had a few days of run-off in late May and right now the flow is about 150cfs and very clear.

Your guide will have the perfect bugs but many of the old standards have worked great…Elk Hair Caddis, Pheasant Tails, Prince, RS2, BWO Emergers, Adams, San Juan Worms, egg patterns, and various streamers and buggers.
