Boxwood Gulch Fishing Report for Mon, 14 Jul 2008

Fishing and catching is excellent on about anything with a good drift: Princes, RS2, Barr’s Emerger,
Rainbow Warriors,Halfbacks, Yellow Stones, Egg patterns, San Juan Worms, Parachute Adams, Green Drakes, Streamers, Caddis, Streamers, Trade Secrets.

The flows have varied between 250-625cfs of very clear water.

Most anglers are landing between 10-20 fish. The average size is 18 inches. On just about every trip several 23+ inch fish are landed.
(P)It’s nice to see the dads and grandpa’s bringing the next generation of anglers. Boxwood/Long Meadow is a great place to introduce a youngster to fly fishing. Tanner M. visited with his dad, and younger brother, Mitch. They all landed a number of fish this size or larger.

Give some thought to bringing a youngster for a trip of a lifetime.
