We are having the best October fishing ever. Liam is holding just one of the huge fish he landed and his guide, Tom Whitley, is thinking about how many “Trade Secret flies” he has left to distribute around to the group.
The fish are still eating surface patterns, streamers, and they always eat nymphs. Most anglers are landing 10-20 fish with an occaisonal fish up to 10 lbs making it into the net. It is true that many, many, big fish break off before they see the net or the camera. The average Trout landed is about 18-20 inches long. Every so often an angler will land all 5 species of Trout that reside at Boxwood.
If you want to fish in October of 2009 please reserve your date no later than July.
