July Fishing Report

IMG_3272-2

Dave actually landed this huge Boxwood Bow on Aug. 4. The fly used was a #18 tungsten flash back black beauty. Both Dave and his guide, John Keefover out of the Blue Quill Angler, estimate the fish to be 28-30 inches and the wt. to be 12-14 lbs. Quite a fish.
Now let me tell you about July….Fishing was fantastic, all month, with many Real Trophy Trout landed. I saw so many photos of huge fish….after hours on the patio. It made me feel good knowing that the anglers who visit Boxwood and/or Long Meadow do indeed land their largest trout ever…..some times 2-3 Trophy fish of divergent species all on the same trip.
We are starting to see some dry fly action. Don’t worry about what to bring, your guide will have what’s  working. Just show up with a license, a camera, and an attitude to have fun.
Thanks to all of the anglers who visited us….come back and perhaps that monster Trout you landed will be even bigger.
