I don’t think we ever officially opened this late in our 32+ year history. We had 2 full day and 3 1/2 day anglers with 3 different guides fishing in a flow of 400cfs.
A total of 64 fish were landed mostly Rainbows up to 25 inches. Only a few Browns and Brookies up to 18 inches.
I think the Palominos and Tigers were hiding and unwilling to play. Eventually they to will come out of hiding and get caught.
Streamers were the go-to fly. San Juans in pink and natural and a variety of other small nymphs worked. Don’t worry about fly selection, all the guides will know what’s working.
