Late October Fishing Report

Anglers: Fishing/catching has remained strong since our reopening on October 15th.

Some impressive numbers of fish have been landed; mostly Bows in the 14-18 inch range mixed in with some Brookies, Browns, Cutthroats, and Tigers. Notable fish this past week were:

  • 31″ Bow
  • 22″ Tiger
  • 27″ CutBow
  • 22″Palomino

We expect good water — coming from Dillon Reservoir through Roberts Tunnel — all winter. The water exits the tunnel at 38 degrees warm which helps keep the ice on the river minimal. This morning at 8 degrees air temp there was zero ice on the river.

The clubhouse is warm and cozy and the fire pit is on. Catch up on your favorite team on the big screen and then back out to search for the “Big One.”
