Flows on the North Fork continue to be healthy for the fish and great for the anglers—between 250–450 CFS—with cold, clear to mostly clear water, offering fantastic sight-fishing. Anglers are landing an impressive mix: rainbow, cutbow, brown, brook, tiger, and palomino trout, with most trips yielding several fish over 22 inches, and some anglers landing fish over 24 inches.
The bite is solid on small nymphs—midges, soft hackle emergers, caddis emergers, and Baetis-style patterns, as well as the frequently fished eggs, leeches, mops, and worm patterns—fished under an indicator or via Euro-style tactics.Occasionally, fish have come to the surface on hoppers, caddis, and stonefly patterns, and some days the streamer bite is still hot.
