Boxwood Gulch Fishing Report for Sat, 28 Mar 2009

Spring weather can be unpredictable at times but the fishing at Boxwood/Long Meadow is always great. Just ask Mark Finley or guide Pat Dorsey.

Mark is holding a nice 25 inch Rainbow who took a perfect presentation of a tan San Juan Worm.

When this group of 7 anglers arrived there was still plenty of ice in the river from the overnight freeze. They waited until 11:00AM to fish and finished the day with right around 90 fish landed.
Quite a few of the fish were 20+ inch fish!

Hot flies right now are: San Juan Worms, Pearl Jams, Periwinkels, Red Copper John, Pheasant Tails, egg patterns, various Midge patterns.
Don’t worry too much about what to bring because your guide will have what has been working the best.
